Why doesn't my Styku camera tower fit fully into its carrying bag?
The tower bag is designed to hold the main shaft of the camera tower with the base plate removed. You must detach the base plate before sliding the tower shaft into the bag. This is the correct packing procedure for the Travel Kit.
What Goes Where
Section titled “What Goes Where”When packing your camera tower into its carrying bag:
- Tower shaft (the tall aluminum column with the camera, base plate removed) — slides fully into the tower bag
- Base plate (the flat foot at the bottom of the tower) — must be removed using the hex tool included with the Travel Kit, then stored in the front pocket of the turntable bag
- Hex tool — use it to detach the base plate before packing, and to reattach it when setting up at your destination
Step-by-Step Packing Procedure
Section titled “Step-by-Step Packing Procedure”- Using the hex tool included with your Travel Kit, remove the base plate from the bottom of the camera tower.
- Store the base plate in the front pocket of the turntable bag.
- Slide the tower shaft (base plate removed) fully into the tower bag.
- When setting up again, retrieve the base plate from the turntable bag’s front pocket and reattach it to the tower shaft using the same hex tool.
Troubleshooting: Tower Won’t Fit in the Bag
Section titled “Troubleshooting: Tower Won’t Fit in the Bag”If the tower shaft does not fit into the bag, work through the following steps:
- Confirm the base plate has been removed. This is the most common cause. Remove the base plate with the hex tool and try again.
- Check for attached cables or adapters. Remove anything still connected to the tower that could block insertion.
- Confirm you are using the correct bag. Make sure the bag is the one that shipped with your scanner or Travel Kit, not a bag from another product.
- If it still does not fit, contact support and include a photo showing how the tower sits in the bag, your order number, and the scanner model (found on the packaging or in the Styku Business Portal).
If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.
